'FASHION: REHOMED' - DESIGNER AND VINTAGE SALE
In 2016, we rescued two dogs brothers (brothers Arji and Mr Bims) from the streets of India. Since then I’ve had the biggest soft spot for rescue dogs after witnessing first-hand the plight of street dogs. I’m a huge advocate for #adoptdontshop and am totally inspired by the tireless work of Nikki Tibbles and her charity the Wild at Heart Foundation (I’m proud to be an ambassador for the charity too), who work to rescue dogs worldwide, rehoming, sterilising and educating, as well as working with vets around the world and charities on the ground affected by war and disasters (from 2017’s Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico to the recent blast in Beirut), raising money to help the animals left behind. Their latest fundraising initiative has launched at the perfect time — a pre-loved auction featuring coveted items donated by celebrities and designers, and an ideal opportunity to snap up something “new” all in aid of a good cause. The auction is open now and closes on 14th September. For the event, I’ve donated some pieces from my wardrobe, an Alice + Olivia matching multicoloured skirt and top set and a Dai suit.
