THE COMMONWEALTH FASHION EXCHANGE EXHIBITION LAUNCH PARTY WITH ECO-AGE
Last night saw the launch of the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange exhibition launch party at Australia House on Thursday. The exhibition, which will run until 6th March, showcases a wealth of design and artisan fashion talent from all 53 countries in the Commonwealth and the reception mirrored that mission beautifully.
The evening was hosted by Eco-Age, an organisation committed to promoting sustainability in fashion and founded by celebrated activist Livia Firth. In just ten years, Livia has made a taboo subject centre-stage and it was heartening to be surrounded by like-minded people who believe in moving towards a more sustainable future, starting with their clothes.
As for the exhibition, I hope those of you who are based in London can find some time to visit it while it's running! It features stunning creations from KITX (who also designed the dress I wore), Burberry, Stella McCartney, as well as emerging artists who deserve every bit of the recognition Eco-Age has brought them.
