HOW AYURVEDA FITS IN YOUR BUSY LIFE - THE TELEGRAPH
You may have noticed East by West quite a lot in the media over the past few months – it’s been great to have so many people interested in what I’m doing and keen to understand my Ayurvedic practice. I feel privileged to be able to share what I’ve learnt so far with you all, and hope that you will stay with me throughout your journeys and keep me posted about how it’s helped you!
I recently sat down with Cass Chapman of The Telegraph to discuss the book, as well as Ayurveda and wellness in general. I explained why the Ayurvedic lifestyle is far from being a fad (since it drew its roots in India some 5,000 years ago!) and the huge impact it can have on how you feel in your day-to-day. “Make Ayurveda part of your basic tool kit and just try it out,” I told Cass. “Every time you work with nature you always get vitality. It’s a philosophy that helps you intuitively know what you need. It’s about bringing in balance and really listening to what your body needs.”
As you know if you've been following me for a while, one of the reasons I love Ayurveda so much is that it can fit into diametrically opposed lifestyles, and each individual can choose how to make it work for them. “Ayurveda is the most simple [of lifestyles]," I said. "Tune in and think about what your body really needs. In so many ways, Ayurveda arms you with knowledge so you quickly learn to identify what you need. You’ll quickly get into the rhythm of it.”
