MOTHER OF PEARL x TENCEL™️ - SOME CLOTHES DO GROW ON TREES
My friend Amy Powney, the creative director of Mother of Pearl, and I took a walk through Black Park forest for Earth Month to talk sustainability, the future of fashion and TENCEL™️, as Amy and I are both ambassadors for this fabulous fibre. Made from wood pulp, it’s both biodegradable and compostable so that at the end of its lifespan it will naturally decompose to feed the ecosystem it originated from.
If you haven’t heard of Amy yet, then where have you been?! Amy is changing the face of fashion — she’s transformed Mother of Pearl into a brand that only creates using thoughtful processes and has become a sustainable fashion expert working across the industry. Over the next month, a tree will be planted through TENCEL™’s partnership with One Tree Planted for the sale of every Mother of Pearl garment made with TENCEL™ because Earth Day and Earth Month aren’t just for April.
